cheese class anyone? i know more than a couple of people who would just about faint with happiness if there were such a thing in DC....

all i know is that i miss really sharp English cheddar and Stilton! a favourite snack is a jacob's cream cracker slathered with salted butter and a thick slice of extra strong cheddar. make that 4 crackers actually. and now i'm hungry.

my snack is heresy in g's world of cheese-eating. he would be much happier with a stinky goat cheese, fresh baguette, and a glass of vino to wash it down.

the thought of goat cheese has all but destroyed any ounce of hunger i had a few seconds ago. what a great diet tip - anytime i want to stop myself from scoffing down 2 brownies and a chocolate eclair, i will just conjure up the smell of goat cheese, and voila -- instant crave kill.

it kills me -- being the aesthete that i am (some say shallow), i am drawn to certain things because of their packaging/shape/size etc. why is that goat cheese is always so much more beautifully moulded and presented than those of cow or sheep?!

i wonder, so many people have wine cellars in their houses; do any have cheeses downstairs in the basement?
