i've been wearing little to no makeup the past 10 days. there hasn't been much point other than when we go out to dinner; otherwise i am indoors working at my laptop all day, so it's pointless to tart myself up. it's been refreshing not wearing makeup but i'm definitely not one of those women who can flaunt a naked face and get away with it. i look quite drained without my bronzing powder and mascara.
it's been around 2 and half weeks since my face got zapped and as the dermatologist warned, it will look worse before it gets better. the scars seem more pronounced if anything, and a red vein that has been on my cheek for years didn't disappear after all - it was clearly just hiding until this week. sigh. i'm optimistic though - it will take around 3 more treatments and then some more waiting. the collagen rebuilds slowly, and will continue to change my appearance in the months following the last treatment. i just have to be patient. that's something i am not very good at.
i am insanely jealous of women who look refreshed, stunning and gorgeous without a scrap of makeup on their faces. note that these women are all in their late 30s to 40s. the photos were untouched. perhaps there's chance for me yet...
