cashmere

this is a great article about why one should invest in good cashmere rather than the bargain priced stuff.

expect to pay around $300 for a jumper (sweater). you can save on your investment by washing the garment inside a pillow case on cold, then leave it to dry naturally on a towel. the dry cleaning always makes my jumpers a little too rough.

we are snug and cosy in Vail in our c'mere togs. i tried with high quality wool and also layering, but nothing beats a simple cashmere jumper over a silk thermal vest. it's all lightweight too so that's a bonus when one needs to wear a michelin man puffa jacket over the top.

i broke out the skipants yesterday, and i have to say i love wearing them. they are just fitted enough to be flattering and i am in love with the side ankle zips (i can go from the straight leg to bootcut in seconds LOL). for me, bootcut is definitely the most flattering cut for my legs. and the pants are in matte black to add to the plus points. one day i might even ski in them. or maybe not.
