what a girl needs: a dressing room

i have been given the green light to totally overhaul our guest bedroom and turn it into a dressing room. [insert images of me dancing around joyfully]

first off -- the floor plan, to figure out how large of a wardrobe I can put in there. it will have to compliment the existing built-in on the other side of the room. tonight i shall get out the blue masking tape and mark up the floors.

once that is done, i can move on to the serious stuff. i am going to remove the double bed, replacing it with a sofabed which will only be opened out when we have guests. would it be awful if i expected guests to sleep on a barcelona daybed? 

i need to get creative in terms of a dressing table. i have always wanted one and i finally have the chance to actually have and use one. there won't be much room though. hmm. i am coveting one from the 1920s, glass-topped and fronted, with drawers and lots of room for me to display my perfume bottles and other bits and pieces. [floating off into dream world now]

in essence, it will be a dressing room with lots of space for my shoes.
