saturday seafood lunch
we eat lunch at about 4pm on the weekend, and today was all about seafood...prawns, clams and scallops...G did a run to A&H Gourmet Market and got all of the goodies. all i had to do was watch and then eat it all. what a treat.
the prawns were done two ways:
1. fried in olive oil with garlic and finished with parsley
2. steamed in garlic butter then fried with more butter and finished with parsley
we followed up the prawns with clams - cooked in white wine with garlic and "thin chorizo" which weren't actually chorizo but something similar. they added a nice smoked spicy kick.
finally we had scallops. g got the oil smoking hot then plopped in the scallops. perfectly browned on the edges and butter soft inside. served with a lambs ear salad.
now it's time for a siesta...
