happily, my neighbourhood farmer's market will be opening next month. it will be located, as always, at the corner of 17th and lamont, every saturday from 9am-1pm. it's much smaller than the dupont circle fancy farmers market but some of the vendors are the same...and at half the price. it doesn't get nearly as overcrowded as dupont, though it draws a big crowd and it's best to get there as close to 9am as you can. they sell meats, vegetables, fruits, flowers, plants, herbs...and if you don't have cash on you they let you buy tokens using your atm/debit card - a very clever idea.
