i miss living in or near the countryside. i guess more than that i miss the countryside style of houses in the UK - and particularly the gardens.

this is a Scottish home with six bedrooms (five ensuite) as well as a summer house, private jetty and frontage to Loch Ard. not bad if i say so myself -- and at the same price as a TWO bedroom house in DC!???!

this one has a thatched roof meaning lots of dinero to upkeep over the years, but i think it's worth it. it's in wiltshire. again, 6 bedrooms and set on acres of land. imagine the gardening opportunities....

this is a former rectory (lucky vicar) set in 5 acres of farmland. it's in wales - so i could visit my brother.

this home has an almost separate annexe - perfect for the children or guests or in-laws.

this one has to be my favourite because of that amazing front door. formerly a coach house and stables, this handsome cottage is tucked away in a wooded valley and has four bedrooms, flagstone floors, a spiral staircase and turret, stone quoins and reveals, window seats and sash windows, with views over pretty Somerset farmland.  i dont like the windows (too modern) but other than that it's pretty perfect.
